自らStellar Entertainmentsを立ち上げてデビューアルバム”the 18th Day”を2004年にリリース、同作が認められてV2 Recordsと契約、メジャーから再リリースされた。また2007年には、ファーストアルバムにゲスト参加したジョン・レジェンドの立ち上げたレーベル Home Schoolに移籍し、セカンドアルバム”Shine”の発売を決めている。
